Mass Juniors Tryouts

Please read the Weekly Notes. This will keep you up to date on the latest happenings.

18's and Under (18U)
17's and Under (17U)
16's and Under (16U)
15's and Under (15U)
14's and Under (14U)

IMPORTANT: You must check your age group!!!

Once a player participates (including but not limited to practicing, training, attending workouts and/or competing) in a club or varsity program for any university, college, community college, or junior college, he/she is ineligible to take part in any regional and national programming, which includes but is not limited to national JNC qualifying and championship events.

18 and Under Division:

Players who were born on or after September 1, 1993

Players who were born on or after September 1, 1992 and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year

17 and Under Division:

Players who were born on or after September 1, 1994

16 and Under Division:

Players who were born on or after September 1, 1995

15 and Under Division:

Players who were born on or after September 1, 1996

14 and Under Division:

Players who were born on or after September 1, 1997

Tryouts are Sunday, December 11th, 2011 and December 18th, 2011
at North Quincy High School
4pm to 6pm

Tryout Cost: $30 Program Cost: $475

Players should attend both tryouts. Please stay within your age group because there are limited spaces available

Practice Times will be 4pm to 6pm at North Quincy High School on Sunday afternoon.
All Tournaments are on Sundays. Sites are determined about a week before each tournament.

Necessary Steps to Register for tryouts:

1) Register with NERVA online. If you have never registered with NERVA please click here. If you were on a Club team (regardless of Club) last year click here to renew your registration.

When registering you must choose "Mass Juniors" as your club. For Membership Type please select "Juniors Girls". You must click on all the Waivers and Codes. A parent or guardian must submit a valid license number to finalize the process. You will not pay any fees at this time. The fee for NERVA is submitted by your club if you are chosen for a team.

2) Player Code of Conduct form. Click here for the form. Please print and sign where indicated. Bring this with you to the tryout.

3) Parent Code of Conduct form. Click here for the form. Please print and sign where indicated. Bring this with you to the tryout.

4) Medical Release Form. Click here for the form. Please print and complete in full. Bring this with you to the tryout.

16's and Unders
15's and Unders

Tryouts are Sunday, December 11th, 2011 and December 18th, 2011
at North Quincy High School
2pm to 4pm

Tryout Cost: $30 Program Cost: $475

Players should attend both tryouts. Please stay within your age group because there are limited spaces available

You will not know which team you are on until after the tryouts.
Practice Times for 16's Midnight will be 4 to 6pm.
Practice Times for 16's Yellow, 15's Green, & 15's Black will be 2pm to 4pm
All practices are at North Quincy High School on Sunday afternoons.
Tournaments are always on Sundays. Sites are determined about a week before each tournament.

14's and Unders
(Must be Grade 6 or Higher)

Tryouts are Sunday, December 11th, 2011 and December 18th, 2011

Players should attend both tryouts. Please stay within your age group because there are limited spaces available

Practice Times will be 2pm to 4pm at North Quincy High School on Sunday afternoon.
Tournaments are always on Sundays. Sites are determined about a week ahead of each tournament.

All signed paperwork (Players & Parents Code of Conduct Forms and Medical Release Form)
must be submitted at tryouts on Sunday, December 11th to be eligible for a team.

Program fees cover the cost of coaching, USAV membership, gym fees, uniforms, tournament entrance fees,
and program expenses. Please note that the Mass Patriots and Mass Juniors Volleyball programs are not-for-profit organizations.

Exceptions will be made only on a space available basis, as it would be unfair to "bump" a player out of
the program for a player playing out of her age group. Moves up from 16’s to 17’s will not be done due
to the fewer number of teams at the older age level.
